With two weeks till the start of the season Twinwoods have been dealt the blow of losing Manager Scott Hannam to Division 1 team Stevington

Player manager Scott Hannam yesterday resigned as manager of recently relegated Twinwoods Thistle after sixteen months in charge. His contract had expired at the end of the season and Hannam has decided to move on a free to First Division Stevington on a one year deal.

Speaking at a brief press conference yesterday, Hannam spoke magnanimously I am grateful to the Thistle board for giving me a chance to manage the club. It has been an eye opening experience to say the least. I was disappointed that we were relegated but Im sure the new manager will get them back into the second division. I will still look out for their results every week, but now I mustconcentrate on doing well for my new team.

The new manager has been tipped to be utility player, Neil Hannam, who has been with Thistle since they were created and already had a managment spell with the club. He is expected to be confirmed in the hot seat on Saturday unless another manager steps forward to the role.

With several other players failing to declare their commitment to the club, bleak times are ahead for the Thistle.
