A keenly contested derby saw Elkesley beat Leverton 3-2............

Leverton enjoyed the better of the early exchanges but found Groundsalle in the Elkesley goal in fine form and, against he run of play, the hosts took the lead after 20 minutes.

Leverton soon levelled the game when, from a Pashley cross, a Rice shot rebounded off an Elkesley defender in to the path of James Walker for him to fire home.

The second half saw Leverton right back in the attack with Pashley and Walker both going close.

Elkesley kept at their game and retook the lead after 65 minutes.

Leverton came right back and levelled the game when Dan Mayfield picked out Jamie Prior with a fine ball and Prior scored.

The game looked like being a draw but, with four minutes left, Elkesley were awarded a penalty. Beeby fired home to give the home team all three points.

Leverton man of the match, sponsored by J S Highfield Ltd, went once more to Jamie Prior
