12-0... Demolition...

Coleridge crushed in Centenary

Guys not going to dwell on this too much. We did exactly what I need and want us to do in every round of this competition and took our opponants seriously.

They are not the same the team we have played previously in this comp mainly down to us. How we started and how we pressed and moved of the ball for each other.

The result showed that, 12-0 against any team is emphatic and prob should and could have been more. A Hatty from Joey on his Debut. Two from Simo and Bt a piece, Then goals from Jordan Haynes, Geo, Ibby, Greg and Alex won us the game comftably. 3 of the goals were superb. Bt lobbing keeper from just inside halfway line with a quick free kick. Abbo lobbing the keeper from abt 35 yards and Simo taking a drilled ball on the chest before cruyff turning their defender and smashing in a great finish.

The whole team played well. Back four had little to do but fbs pushed on well to support and Jordan got himself a goal. Avo was excellent and composed and at times was basically a holding cm. Nicky got 4 assists in a unusually deeper roll but looked excellent pulling the strings from deep. Abbo hatty as mentioned looked a different class as you would expect at this level but many of us have played with Joey for some years growing up so from a personal point of view was brilliant having him play with us. Ibby was much more higher up the pitch something he has done more and more already this season which is where we want to see him. Alex and Greg were excellent at turning the back four even if a little wastefull in front of goal but both class.

Mom could have gone to a few but Bt was the pick for me. Not just his goals but his link up play, work rate and also selflessness to allow me a chance to go on pitch and kick, foul and sit on their rm shows the sort of kindess and attitude that makes us Long Road.

Next round will be Chesterton U20s on 16th Nov. Dont know much about them but the title suggests they will be young, fit, energetic and full of enthusiasm if nothing else. Add to that me Ibby and The Pred will be getting our former Leader smashed on his staggy so please make yourselves available for Nick who will be in charge. Play like we did in this game and it wont matter who is there and who we play.

Pleasure as always boys
