Tyersal 1-1 Kirkburton

Kirkburton travelled to Arkwright Street the home of Tyersal fc that is currently 2nd in the league.
Kirkburton was the better team in the first half and probably should have gone in 3-0 up but for some poor finishing.
Burtons 1st chance came from a Tim sykes cross which he sent into the oppositions box, were Ryan jagger was on hand to get a header in but the keeper was equal to it.
The next chance came in the 32nd minute when Kieran Ryan sent in a great cross to the back post were Damien sykes headed the ball straight at the keeper, but two minutes later the same two combined again Ryan sending in a low cross into the 6yd area were Paul Wright missed the ball and Sykes slid in at the back post to put Kirkburton into a deserved lead.
Burton should have scored a minute later when Ryan sent in another cross which ricocheted
Around the area and fell to Paul Wright who miscued his shot wide from 4yd out.
Tyersal came out in the 2nd half determined to get something out of the game and put pressure on the Burton defence straight from the kick off.
Andrew Bailey Tyersals centre forward unleashed a tremendous shot from 25yd out which Damien Brookes the Burton keeper tipped over the bar.
Burton made their 1st substitution after 60minutes bringing off Ryan Jagger and fetching on Jordan Tindle.
Tyersal pushed hard to get the equaliser and it came in the 62nd minute when Terry Ryan struck a great shot from distance, Brookes couldnt hold onto it and the left full back Fabian Evans slid the ball past Brookes 1-1.
Burton made a double substitution in the 70th minute fetching off Richard Kettlewell and Scott Fulton and bringing on Dan Morgan and Jack Greene.
Tyersal had the ball in the back of the net in the 73rd minute but was ruled out by the referee because of a blatant push on Wright, Wright then nearly scored at the other end with a header from a free-kick floated in by Captain Tim sykes.
A good move between Tindle and Wright nearly produced a goal but the ball bobbled just has Kieran Ryan was about to shoot at the back post, the ball ended up hitting him on the shin and into the side netting.
Alan Morley Tyersals no10 hit a great shot from about 22yd out but Brookes made a good save, the same player came close again shortly afterwards when he saw Brookes of his line and he hit the ball from just inside Burtons half but saw his effort go agonisingly wide of the upright.
Josh Williams was booked for Kirkburton in the 86th minute for accidently stamping on the no10s back, and then he got booked a minute later for persistent fouling.
Tyersal nearly snatched the win in the 88th minute when Bailey was put through with only Brookes to beat who had rushed out of his goal to meet him 10yds from his area, Bailey lifted the ball over Brookes but his effort went just wide of the upright.
A fair result in the end 1-1 at full time.
Kirkburton play League leaders Ovenden on Wednesday night in the semi final of the premier cup at Brighouse town 7.30pm kick off.
