Rimington FC will be hosting the 2nd Ribble Valley Cup on the 29th May. The competition will be held at the Coulthurst Ground, Rimington. After the success of last years event the club have decided to open the competition to Football Clubs outside of the Ribble Valley.

HURST GREEN 1 CANBERRA 1 (AET) - HURST GREEN WON 7-6 ON PENS

Hurst Green won through to their first ever Lancashire Amateur Cup Final after their third penalty shoot-out success in this years competition, Danny Taylor sending the Green Army faithful into raptures.

After meeting each other only a week ago, both teams lined up similarly with Greens only change being Stuart Malley returning to the middle of midfield in place of Danny Taylor. Canberra made a couple of changes with Blackburn coming in up front and keeper Mark Proctor coming in between the sticks. The pitch surprisingly passed a pitch inspection prior to kick off with the temperature perilously close to freezing point but on closer inspection was not a bad surface.




Lancashire Amateur Cup Semi Final - Hurst Green v Canberra

This Wednesday (17th) sees two rivals and East Lancashire League sides battle it out for a place in the Lancs Cup final.

The match will take place at Padiham FCs The Arbories ground and the game kicks off at 7.30pm.

Canberra survived the wettest week in history and hammered their Lancs Cup opponents Hesketh Casuals 5-1 to progress through to the Semi Finals where they will play Hurst Green if they can get past Moston Brook.
