Constitution & Rules

1: General
The League shall be known as the Leicestershire Church Football League

2: Aims and Objectives
. To play friendly football matches against other church teams on a competitive level.
To uphold Christian standards whilst playing and supporting.
To set an example to other team members and spectators who may be watching.

3: Affiliation
The league shall be affiliated to the Leicestershire & Rutland County Football Association. There is also a subscription to the Church League £20 as of 2005

4: Membership
The league is open to all Church based football teams who they consider will further the aims and objectives of the league.
All admitted teams shall enjoy such terms of membership and other rights and privileges as are prescribed.
All teams wishing to join may be elected by a simple majority vote of the committee after each prospective team arranges to play six friendly games against different Church league teams. These must be played before consideration the applicant.


5: Management Committee
The Officers of the church league shall be elected annually at the AGM.
Chairman
Secretary
Fixture Secretary
Treasurer
First division representative
Second division representative
All members of the committee will have equal voting rights.

6: Accounts
The treasurer shall maintain records and account for all receipts and payments on behalf of the church league.
These accounts will be presented for approval at the annual AGM.

7: Managers Meetings and the AGM.
Managers meetings will be held 4 times a year the meeting held prior to the beginning of a new season will be the AGM at which officers of the committee shall be elected along with the accounts.
Each team should make every effort to be represented at the AGM and where necessary shall be entitled to one vote for decision making.
No such meeting can take place unless a quorum of 50% of the membership is present.
The chairman shall have the casting vote.
The secretary shall give all managers at least 4 weeks notice of any meeting.



8:Church Team Rules.

Teams will be made up of players connected to the named church or another church. A team shall be allowed to field up to 3 non-church connected players in league and cup games. No such restriction shall apply to friendly games.
Subject to agreement with the opposing manager a team may be allowed to field up to 4 non church connected players providing that every effort has been made to field church connected players first.

Church connected shall normally mean regular church attendance or regular attendance at church based events where a gospel message is given
( 5 a side football training does not count)

No player shall be allowed to play in league or cup games, Church or non Church connected if they are registered with other Saturday or Sunday league teams.
Players shall only be allowed to play for one church team before 31st March each year, subject to written notification to the secretary.
Any player under suspension will not be eligible to play in league or cup games.
Any player cautioned throughout the season will not be eligible to compete in the end of season divisional match.
No game will be allowed to commence unless both sides have eight or more players.
All players shall be aged 13yrs or older and shin pads must be worn.
Team captains or managers shall be Christians.
Each team shall provides a linesmen where possible.
Each team shall provide an appropriate first aid kit + water and sponge for there side
(a separate sponge for blood is advised)
teams are required to play in a set of shirts preferably numbered.
The away team is responsible for providing a changed set of shirts if there is a clash.

9: Disciplinary procedures
The committee consisting of 3 members one of which is the chair (and those members not connected with a team or player under disciplinary consideration) shall determine the appropriate course of action in respect of the fo
