Lee Rangers Get Two More Players In The Rep Squad

After a weather induced delay of some four months, the new season finally gets under way for the U14 Mid Solent rep team on Wednesday 4th March 2009, with a friendly against South coast rivals the Southampton Tyro League.

Team manager Pat Harris has scouted a number of Mid Solent
fixtures in the build-up to the Rep Team season, and had selected
a very strong squad of 14 players to represent the league, but
as so often happens, at the death you lose influential players.

In this case it was Harting player Nick Awford, his season has
come to an abrupt end after dislocating a shoulder on the ski
slopes, that added to the loss of Tom Turner who recently
departed for Bournmouth, has sent Pat searching for
replacements, leading to the inclusion of Lee Rangers players
Brandon Palmer and Bradley Orpin.

The full and hopefully final squad of now 15 is as follows:

______________________________________________________

Under the guise of the U13 squad that represented the Mid Solent
League last season, most of this group had such a successful
Campaign that they went on to become the leagues, first ever
SOUTHERN COUNTIES LEAGUE champions.

These are quality players and it comes as no surprise that they
have been chosen to step-up and weave their magic in the U14
competition.

Good luck to the four debut players, all of whom were knocking
on the rep team door last season, they are James Long of
Harting Hawks, Elliot Frettsome of Havant & Waterlooville, and
Joe Dawson of Bishops Waltham, all of whom come in to
strengthen the defence, also on the debut list is Sam Moore of
College Youth, who can be relied upon to show his skills in either
the midfield, or up front.

If you want to see this fine band of warriors displaying their
undoubted talents, then they can be found strutting their stuff on
Wednesday evening with a 7-45 kick-off, under the Kawns Stadium
floodlights of our very kind hosts Gosport Borough F.C.

The Kawns Stadium can be found at:

PRIVETT PARK
PRIVETT ROAD
GOSPORT
PO12 3SX

Entry is:--- Free---Free---Free

Kawns Stadium has excellent disabled access and facilities,
and there is a hardstanding on all sides making this a wheelchair
friendly environment, and apart from the main stand, there is a
covered area on the opposite side of the pitch.

Please turn up in numbers, and give the boys the support that
they deserve, as they strive to get off to a winning start.

To those of you that join us, we thank you and wish you
a very good evening!
