Gate win Tom Donnelly Cup and Dover Eagle win John Ullman Cup

DOVER Mercury Sunday League Premier Division champions Gate added the Tom Donnelly Cup to their title success with a 5-2 final victory over Athletico Dublin on Sunday. Duncan Bishop, the top divisions leading marksman, and Steve Law both scored twice, with Mark Pollard completing the tally. A wonder strike from Dover Eagles Arron Caldwell settled the John Ullmann Cup final as they edged out Real Mcfish 1-0. The all-important goal came late in the second half as Caldwell finally beat the outstanding Real Mcfish goalkeeper with an effort from all of 35 yards. The victory capped an impressive season for the Eagle, who were runners-up in Division 2.
