Twinwoods ended there season in style winning 3-1 away to Bedford Albion

Twinwoods Thistle signed off with life in Division Two with a very good 3-1 win
at Bedford Albion. The home side were one place above the Thistle and played
like their minds were on their summer holidays already. Thats not to take any
credit away from the visitors, who played their opponents off the park with some
neat passing football on what was a dust bowl at Miller Road.

Thistle dominated the first half, but found themselves a goal down at the break
when a defensive mix up between Donaldson, Smith and Geary allowed the Albion
forward a free shot at goal, which he duly took. The same players almost
repeated the situation again minutes later, but fortunately this shot hit the
cross bar and was cleared.
Thistle pressed again in the second half and quickly equalised through a goal
from John Banks. Cook put the visitors in front twenty minutes from time when he
steered home with his left foot following good work down the right. The game was
put out of Albions reach five minutes later when Banks hit a right foot shot
from the edge of the box that crashed into the net via the underside of the bar.

Manager Scott Hannam said after the game Today we played the football I knew
the players were capable of. We moved the ball about quickly and closed the
opposition down when we didnt have the ball. We need to add to the squad in the
summer and some players will have to move on as it is clear that we were not
good enough. Hannam was asked about reports in the media linking him with a
move to Division One side Stevington, but he refused to be drawn into commenting
on the matter.
