14 April 2008 | Phill Welch

It wasnt a good start by the Yellow Army; 2-0 down after 15 minutes, it all seemed to be an uphill struggle from then on....... But was it?

2-0 down after 15 minutes, Deanview looked as if they were going to grab all 3 points. A few early fatal errors by the Darland defence gave Deanview two gifted opportunities - which they grabbed with both hands.
Even though darland had the majority of the possession most of the game, the scoreline did not suggest that at all.
Until a skillfull strike from Steve Randy Randall mid-half put the boys back into the match (2-1). And soon after that amazing goal, another one by Matt (The Monkey Boy) Church.
2-2 at the break, it looked like another draw until late in the game, another great strike from Steve Randall put the Darland boys ahead.
The game looked as if it couldnt get any better, but then Phill Welch made a comeback after 6 months out due to a broken ankle. And with what was his first touch of the match - headed in a beauty straight over the keeper.

2-4 to the Darland boys, with only 2 matches left. Could they still get the top half finish they deserve?
