AFC Brumby Reserves turned the tables

Afc Brumby Reserves turned the tables on their division two rivals Messingham Town Juniors to claim glory in the Brigdale Barton Brotherhood Cup final.

Brumby were up against it knowing they would face the division two champions.

But in a goal-packed game, it was the second-placed side who triumphed 3-2 at Scawbys home ground.

Brumby hit the front but Messingham equalised from the penalty spot through Andy Shutes.

The league runners-up scored again, before the champions restored parity once more, this time with a header from Andy Green.

But it was the Brumby side who finally went on to hit a deserved winner just five minutes from the end of normal time.
