Borrowdale go into this weekends tough looking fixture away against a strong Stacksteads side on the back of two free weeks.

Manager Ken Inckle is no doubt hoping this has a positive effect on his troops as the inevitable frustration from the 6-0 drubbing suffered at the hands of Hurst Green two weeks ago will still be brewing on the players minds.

Numbers at training have been excellent as has the commitment shown by the lads in the sessions. This now needs transferring to a matchday and some points on the board.

Borrowdale handed midweek trials to 4 players and it remains to be seen whether these will be involved in the shake up for the trip to Stacksteads.

Early team news has revealed that The Inbetweeners Simon Bird has pulled out of the squad due to a prior engagement in Blackpool with Great Harwood Cricket Club, however the machine that is Chris Green will return to the defence.
