Further information

What do you do if you are really good at Football Manager, have won a couple of law suits and have time on your hands? This was the question facing Darren Dickinson 7 years ago, and Solent Flyers were born.

Darren founded Solent flyers in 2006 upon the request of his younger brother Paul who had so many friends the only way he could play with them all at once was to have them all in a dressing room of course. Strangely Paul is the only remaining original member of this team and Lee On Solent has a high Missing Child rate! (To find out why visit

The team has moved on heavily from these days to become a well run Club, gaining constant sponsorship from the local community and a solid flow of would be maradonas. The 2009/2010 season had promised to be Flyers best to date with some high profile signings really wetting the lips of cavs mum and dad. However, things did not bear fruit and flyers have found themselves back in Division Two with the chance of bouncing straight back up a realistic prospect.

2010/2011!! After a Summer of rustling through bushes looking for balls Darren is back BIGGER and better then ever! Some opportunistic player approaching has yet again seen a high number of signings for the new campaign. And with confidence levels at a all time high flyers have pre ordered a IKEA cabinet for their first piece of silver wear to sit proudly in Darrens Bedroom.

Flyers Midfield has had a complete overhaul as they look to work a 3 man set up in the new formation being deployed by Sir Darren. Tim Evans, Chris Cox and Scotty Portas have been added to the already fans favourites Mark Scruse and Stinchcomb to fight for the 3 places. Another plus is the much needed injection of pure brute strength and blo*dy mindedness that has been added to the defence with the signing of Ben Fuller and Sam Potter who has decided to give this football thing another go.

So whether you are interested in watching a good footballing side, or have a interest in serial killers please come along to any of our fixtures!
